<p>Introducere</p>
<p>Termenul &#8220;Pseudo-Ipolit&#8221; este un construct academic pentru a denota cu uşurinţă anonimul autor al acestui text, considerat îndeobşte fie poem, fie liturghie, fie simplă omilie pascală. Textul este păstrat în greacă, limba în care a fost scris, şi apare în ediţia Migne între cele şapte omilii pascale eronat atribuite lui Ioan Hrisostom. În timp ce cele opt manuscrise din Grecia îi atribuie textul lui Ioan, atât un manuscris descoperit în Italia, la Grottaferrata, cât şi fragmentele din <em>florilegium</em>-ul adăugat Actelor Sinodului de la Lateran şi cele din <em>Florilegium Edessenum Anonymum</em> atribuie textul lui Ipolit al Romei. (i) In plus, spaţiul şi epoca în care textul a fost scris sunt dificil de identificat şi încă subiect de dispută între specialişti.<a name="_ednref2"></a> După elementele interne, textul păstrează tradiţii creştine vechi, similare cu cele prezente în <em>Peri Pascha</em> lui Meliton al Sardelor, document scris pe la 170 d.H., însă textul pseudo-ipolitean este mai slefuit stilistic, prezentând figuri de stil specifice chiar secolului al patrulea.</p>
<p>În cazul în care a fost vorba de o liturghie pascală sau un imn pascal utilizat pe parcursul mai multor generaţii, este cu totul plauzibil ca textul să fi suferit îmbunătăţiri stilistice. Alături de numeroase elemente care îl apropie de Meliton şi tradiţia pascală a Asiei Mici anterioară marilor capadocieni, este de luat în considerare structura bipartită, care reflectă o viziune teologică aparte. În general, ca şi Meliton, Ps-Ipolit consideră că Logosul divin s-a manifestat în vremea vechiului Legământ în mod pre-figurat (în <em>typoi</em>, în tipuri, figuri ale vremurilor care succed evenimentul Întrupării) şi în mod deplin în vremea celui nou, o dată deci cu, şi după, Întrupare. Tradiţiile ioaneice, atât cele ale Evangheliei lui Ioan cât şi cele ale Apocalipsei, specifice Asiei Mici, sunt de asemenea centrale în omilia pseudo-ipoliteană. Cum elementele specifice Asiei Mici sunt cel mai des întâlnite, textul poate fi considerat ca fiind probabil produs în Asia Mică a secolului al treilea.<a name="_ednref3"></a><a title="_ednref3" href="http://grupareaaproape.wordpress.com/2007/04/03/pseudo-ipolit-al-romei-despre-paste/#_edn3"> </a></p>
<p><a title="_ednref3" href="http://grupareaaproape.wordpress.com/2007/04/03/pseudo-ipolit-al-romei-despre-paste/#_edn3">În orice caz, textul este încărcat de elemente aparţinând tradiţiilor timpurii iudeo-creştine, între cele mai importante fiind elementele teofanice care rezonează fie cu pasajele teofanice ale Vechiului Testament, bunăoară cu viziunea isaianică, cea ezecheliană, sau cele ale psalmilor, fie cu fragmente din textele qumraniene sau cu fragmente mai târzii rabinice. În acelasi timp, există o conexiune intrinsecă, pe linia teofaniei pascale, atât cu textele lui Meliton, Origen, si celelalte omilii atribuite lui Ioan Hrisostom, cât şi cu textele ulterioare ale marilor capadocieni. </a></p>
